Thapo Industrial Rope Access is a division of Thapo Global cc (formerly Southwind Trading cc). The division was established in 2009, trading under Southwind Trading cc, close corporation founded by Mr Jeremiah Mabuza and Mr Francis Zvenyika.

Since establishment, Rope Access services, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and Industrial Cleaning have become our speciality through rope access activities, we have managed to offer complementary services such as Industrial Cleaning, Civil Works, Non-Destructive Testing, Structural Inspections and Maintenance Works.
Realising the need to re-align our brand and vision, an important decision was taken to change the registered name from Southwind Trading cc to Thapo Global cc in 2017.
Thapo Global thrives on vision to expand and dominate. It is through this underlying vision that we have expanded our operations beyond South African borders. To date, we have operations extended to Mozambique, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Plans are in motion to establish subsidiary companies in those countries and the rest of SADC on our way to beyond Africa.

We are also accredited with the Institute of Working at Heights (IWH) and South African Institute of Welding (SAIW).
